I hate realpolitik. Taiwan is a free democracy with the highest human rights score in Asia. I’ve always been uncomfortable with the fact that the supposed defenders of democracy in the US are so flippant about hanging them out to dry to mollify a country with a despicable human rights and free democracy record.
