Hilarious. Were this not a manual wagon it’s 3K car, add 2K for configuration and maybe 5K. Rust, poverty spec, black (painted?) wheels, random wires under dash, “squeaky belts”, oh and 135K miles at least with a broken odometer...for $15.8 GTFOOH. Crackity crack crack

Seems like a big spend for an overdone mall crawler. ND for me.

An FJ60 with a modern powertrain and a fresh coat of paint is not “worth” $100k. That may be what the seller needs to recoup their costs of doing a full restoration and all the modifications; but I would direct them to the handbook on “Buying Someone Else’s Project Car”. Furthermore, they built this in California but

Masayoshi Son’s involvement is exciting. There is no one better at destroying tens of billions of dollars in investment money on dubious companies - he’s well on his way to becoming the Inverse Trillionaire.

I’m feeling optimistic today, so I went NP assuming this goes to an Alfa devotee who knows what lies ahead. All others should run away. But this is the kind of vote that requires a middle option. Nice Dice?

You always ask yourself “where are the police?” when stuff like this happens. In this case, they were literally driving by, while the guy was standing in the highway swinging a weapon, and they didn’t even notice.

Just because that was spent making this, doesn’t mean it is worth that. This is a five grand frankencar weirdo project.

it certainly doesn’t help when extraterrestrial corpses show up in congress.

Sadly, ND. No way Im spending $15k on anything with that reliability reputation.

Counterpoint: The maintenance required to get an Alfa to the moon means that pretty much any wear item has been replaced at least once. Someone kept this running.  An ‘87 Alfa with 230k miles is no more likely to be a ticking time bomb of deferred maintenance than one with half as many miles.

This is the Quadrifoglio version which gets you the cladding, those phone dial wheels and the hardtop but not performance jump. If its solid and not rusted and that engine was done by a reputable shop, then the price is good. All Spiders (even the least desirable 75-82 era) are now fetching prices at or above this.

This one is testing my resolve. I have a trailer, it’s only about an hour away from me, and we’re coming up on a three day weekend.

Its a Chevy, you can get everything you need for this at Rock Auto and Craigslist. NP

I agree, rust seems like a repair area; the underside for a NE car looks fine. Just too much money. $10k and I’d be in (I don’t pay BMW name tax). I’m cheap and don’t much care for comps. Because others are jumping off a price cliff, doesn’t make me want to follow.

I loathed this era of severely squared-off rooflines, but if it doesn’t bother you, here’s a livable runner that’s unique enough for your local C&C for less than $5K. Easy NP.

CTRL+V, CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+C,

Jack Walsh/Midnight Run should be much higher. The movie is great, and DeNiro is tough, funny, and seems to be having a blast.

This reeks of OPP, other people’s projects. There are simply too many modifications, for me, especially the rubber-band tires. N.D.

NP, $6k for a running and driving classic/enthusiast car is a good deal in today’s market. Mileage isn’t a concern at this age - this car is 40 years old and it would be far worse to find one with 30k that hadn’t been driven. Expect it to need work, and treat it as a guilt-free canvas to modify as you see fit.

Look under the hood of any car built in the Seventies.  This is what you will see.
