I would have loved to sit on a barstool next to Ron Santo and watch a game with him but he was rough on the radio. I've come to appreciate Pat Hughes only since Santo's passing.

Well, we don't have to mourn but we are taught a valuable lesson about greed and hubris and we can celebrate that we are better people for that.

Twister had Cary Elwes as a bad guy storm chaser. Also the sound in the theater was unnerving. So we weren't wrong.

The source novel is such a different story, so well told, that regardless of your feelings about the movie, it is worth reading.

I think if they had had the term then his character's PTSD would have been more explicit.

Like if someone my age says they've never seen Star Wars, ok, it's unusual but not inconceivable. Songs, on the other hand, are able to reach a level of saturation where they cannot be avoided except through a very deliberate life-consuming effort. The only music radio I listen to is old school R&B. I still hear

Seriously, where did you live when you were 16 in 1999 that you could claim to not have heard the song 1999? The entire world played the shit out of that song, practically ruined it. Like radio stations, newscasts, stores, marching bands…where else could music conceivably be used because I'm certain it was used there.

Late because I'm just up to this episode now and, hell, you could have watched the series and read the book by this point, but this is not an adaptation. It is inspired by the book. I'm interested in seeing how much of the book's theme they finally adhere to, namely [SPOILER] that we really did lose WWII because,
