I love cracks. Makes archiving games much more convenient. It might not happen tomorrow, not even in the next few years, but eventually online services will start shutting down, licenses (to sell) expire and don’t get renewed for old games, etc. Having cracks basically makes it possible for people to have an archival…
It’s about time TF2 got the recognition it deserves
This one is the best. Apparently no height limit to bases!
“Hey, don’t worry. It’s games.”
While I appreciate that a review is a subjective assessment and that “charm” or “character” is certainly within the eye of the beholder, TimChaos raises a pretty valid point here. While it may not be to your liking, it’s hard to ignore the impressive worldbuilding on display here, and I do feel like you’re being a…
I really don’t get the “lack of charm” complaint. I think the opposite is true—Serkonos, and Dunwall before it, positively ooze personality. It’s dreary, yes, but not uninteresting or boring. I’m downright baffled by the assertion that the series is uninteresting.
“The rules and challenges change with each mission: A clockwork fortress transforms and shifts with the pull of a lever. A rundown mansion springs back to life as you leap through time. A devious politician protects himself with a body double. Unfortunately, Dishonored 2 abandons these ideas quickly, presenting them…
I like speedruns actually. The wife and I are going to go to AGDQ this January. But that’s just being deliberately obtuse to compare a speedrun to how someone plays the game normally.
Also, a lot of the story is tied up in the environments and lore objects scattered around. That’s kind of like saying, for example, that Bioshock had a bad story because you didn’t collect any of the recordings. You can argue that you dislike that kind of storytelling, but that doesn’t make it invalid.
My first takeaway from the review: if it only takes you eight hours to complete the campaign, your playstyle must be vastly different than mine. I just finished The Clockwork Mansion last night with a clocked completion time of 4 hours 45 minutes. Granted, I am playing no kill and ghost while collecting all of the…
*In growly voice*: “Well...you see, Vanessa....I was IN THE GAME and portrayed Duke Abele. This city..Karnaca...it’s not like New York. The peoPLE are WEAK rrreeaggh”
I’d for sure let her polish my spear.
Westworld is super intriguing from the perspective of a software developer (what I do). The conversations between the “staff” are similar to those that my ilk have when various applications start to act up. The crazy/cool thing is that they can just walk into their simulation to figure out where things are going…
What am I doing wrong as a female gamer that always plays a female character to not get offered free goods for services?!!
Saw him on Westworld and my wife didn’t believe me. I told her Steven Ogg is my Daryl Dixon and I would never mistake him for anyone else! #couplestherapy
