Then get on the right train and pay attention to the stops. It’s really not difficult.

Considering approximately 99.4% of Democratic primary voters have never heard of such a thing, I highly doubt it.

Maybe say something to the manager on the way out. Assuming the man is making decisions and/or paying is a problem for a lot of restaurants in general. Especially steakhouses. Hopefully the manager will remind the staff to be conscious of that stuff.

Doesn’t it suck to lose your job but still have to be the one to file the paperwork?

Why would she be nervous about riding on a stationary bike? You can’t fall off, get lost, or get side-swiped by an impatient driver. And when you can’t pedal anymore, just get off.

And they can’t even go anywhere!

Oh no! I missed this over the holiday weekend. This site and its readers will undoubtedly be worse off without your contributions. Best of luck.

No kidding. When I was serving, we weren’t allowed to bring the entrees unless the previous courses had been bused (unless the table specifically requested to keep their salads/appetizers on the table).

That’s why you don’t fire the entrees until the previous course is almost done, and then bus the table before bringing them. It’s not complicated. I did it that way for years and it seemed to work out fine.

I find that less-experienced servers do sometimes. Not in a bad way, though. Usually they’re a little too attentive, trying to make up for my lack of company. Which is unnecessary, but I appreciate the thought.

It’s not. You kids are just too goddamn sensitive to this shit.

I’m not some server who has to deal with your ridiculous demands to try to ensure a shitty tip from you.

No you fucking can’t, you impertinent troll. I thought I told you to give it a rest.

Give it a rest. You can’t tell. You’ve never eaten with me. You’ve never served me in a restaurant. I never show the least bit of annoyance or impatience with service staff. Quite the opposite, as a matter of fact.

I absolutely am.

I’m one of the most patient, understanding customers on Earth. I’ve waited tables. I get it if you’re in the weeds, if you forgot to put something in, or even if you or the kitchen gets something wrong.

They’re doing a bang-up job.

How is either of those things “cancelable” (not a word)?
