"Merit" scholarship my ass. SOMEONE wanted a millionaire's kid to go to their school for the deep pocket endowments so they lured him in with a free ride. His GPA was like 3.5. What was your GPA and did you get a full ride? #thinkaboutit

If so, then this has already been covered by Jez:

Ah, yes, as a professional writer myself I must just have poor reading skills. Or, um, two small kids of my own and enough joy in my life to be disturbed by the constant negativity on Jez in regards to parenting. But thanks for being so polite! You sound rather joyous yourself.

And that is your choice! By all means, if parenting is not something you really want to do, no one should ever pressure you into it. I just wish there was maybe one article out of 100 on this site dealing with motherhood that tapped into some of that reward.

It's so, so rewarding and worth it. One day maybe Jezebel will post such an article and pause for one brief moment from shitting on motherhood. A girl can dream!

As a mother, I would be appalled if my child were being photographed by a pedophile. However as a citizen, I'm more concerned that a possibly innocent man has been destroyed simply because he can't afford to go to trial. The legal system is grossly unfair.

"If Vanderbilt football were a wife, it would only be a homely 5 on the 10 scale. Unacceptable."

Amen. But I appreciate being alerted to this situation. Thanks, Jez.

Interesting! But I'm not into my midwife like that.

Boom, love your outlook. Exactly. BURN!

I just don't see the problem. He bought an item, he can choose to do with it what he wants. Where is the hate for women who buy these bags and let them gather dust in their closets? It's none of our business what people do with the things they buy as long as it's legal.

Very pretty, Gabi Gregg.

Every man lies about sex.

Pretty much the only people I think are funny are women. A few exceptions are Tosh.0 and Sasha Baron Cohen. Seriously, the only times I crack up out loud are reading lady blogs (I refuse to say "mommy blog").

As a thin, white blonde woman going through a personal rough patch from hell, I can tell you hair doesn't matter a damn thing to how you feel inside.

Thank you!

Show me an article, anywhere, that says birth is a piece of cake. I'd like three examples to prove your point so that I may start to see Jez as "refreshingly" different.

And how is it supposed to make other new moms feel? Honestly until I read this, I never once considered that my face might have been "permanently altered" by the "trauma of birth". But I'm thinking about it now - thanks for making me feel like shit, Jez!

Yes to this! Not only does my husband still want to do it with me, but my own self image hasn't crumbled either. You know what wrecks a face? Meth. Don't do that and you're fine.

But that's just the problem. They're "laying it out" in an exaggerated way. Trust me, I'm on television, I care about how I look and certainly about my body. But birth is not the hurricane these articles on Jez make it out to be.
