He went to Emerson College. That school is wonderful at instilling the need for networking which makes all of its graduates feel slick and hard to judge. They can be very nice people, they were just also educated in this weird form of manipulating that makes them hard to fully trust.

Matt seems genuinely nice to me (caveat: we’ve never met), but also like he thinks he’s cuter than he is. And, I mean, he IS cute, if you like the boyish type, but... I think he thinks he’s reeeeaaaaalllly cute, ya know?

I just recently started following him on Twitter and I’m getting the same impression. I liked him better in small doses.

I have a friend who absolutely hates Matt McGorry. She doesn’t have a reason really but always give me an exasperated “just because” when I ask her why.

Yeah totally. I commented on another tweet round up re my scepticism too. It bugs me how hard he tries to win the female vote by constantly trying to flex his feminist muscles (no pun intended). It seems disingenuous. Is it the male version of being “the cool girl”?

I could see it. Mostly because I’ve watched him in OITNB and How to Get Away with Murder and found his face extremely punchable in both. (Not so much when he’s not in character. He seems like a pretty good guy.)

I can verify he is absolutely wonderful in person, everything his PR wants you to believe, but maybe even a little sillier. #livinginLAisweird

Oh, I had that guy. I dated that guy. Bad decision on my part. I hope he’s not one of those. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but he seems to legitimately be a good guy, especially in interviews. He doesn’t try to take up space when his costars are talking, and he seems to really care about the causes he supports on…
