Well, the story certainly exists. Being the chosen one is like the most overused trope ever, you think that makes the dark souls story better? Without reading item descriptions left and right you could easily beat any of the games and come out with a mediocre story about another chosen one.

Yeah, you missed out on the most fun parts of the game. I can see how it left a bad taste in your mouth. All those flaws do suck, but buried underneath it all is a gameplay gem.

The window dressing, as you like to call it, is actually the story. Bitch about how it’s presented all you want but if you want backstory about alien races and the traveler/darkness? Read some grimorie. Do you also have a problem with the way souls games handle the story too?

Have you done the raids? Because those are very fun to shoot at.

Raid encounter design and shooting mechanics are still the best in destiny out of all other AAA shooters imo. I also didn’t overhype myself about destiny, expectations can really let you down.
