(sigh)  That 350,000 gallon figure is still well short of the amount of water used when launching a Shuttle or SLS  or Saturn 5, so long ago.  More power than the Saturn and lots less water on a substandard launch platform gives me much pause about any sort of reuse of that platform.  It’s not gonna go well.

He for years paid people to cultivate the image of him as a “maverick innovator” buying him guest spots on SNL, the Simpsons, Star Trek, etc. The PR people running this campaign for him knew well that “the less you see and hear from him the better” as he’d immediately…

It is truly a bizarre set of events that has occurred that makes Mark Zuckerberg the more likable of two alternatives.  He’s weird and off-putting, sure, but he’s not “the world’s most divorced man”, “the world’s tenderest billionaire”, or “someone who spends all day chasing clout from the alt-right teens.”

I signed up for a Bluesky invite the moment the option became available. That was how many months ago? And I not only haven’t received an invite yet, I didn’t even receive a stupid automatic “your address was registered” confirmation email! After waiting for a couple of months I thought OK, maybe there was a bug or…

So Elon buys Twitter, and immediately fires 80% of its engineers. Those unemployed engineers announce on Twitter that they’ve been laid off without notice or cause. How does Elon respond? He makes fun of them. He says they deserved to be fired, because they were bad at their jobs.

I guess all journalists should check in with you first to determine what questions their article should answer.
