I legitimately hope that “Just Ken” snags an Oscar nomination for best song so that he can perform it at the ceremony.

Its the most woke film of the summer and boy is it not broke.

As I said on another forum, if this doesn’t drive a stake in the heart of the “Go Woke, Go Broke” narrative, nothing will.

His ability to commit in full earnestness to a character where the joke is almost perpetually at his expense cannot be overstated.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Barbie’s domestic start will also be the largest ever for a movie directed by a solo woman! I went last night and I hadn’t been to such a joyous movie event in years. Everyone was dressed up and calling each other Barbie and the audience I saw it with was laughing and cheering

David Zaslav: In light of Barbie’s success at the box office and since I’m a fucking idiot with no ability to understand WHY a film is popular, I’ve just greenlit a ton of non-satirical movies based on toy properties. Naturally, our forthcoming slate of DC movies have been turned into tax write-offs.

Yea ironically, the fact that diversity is incorrectly scapegoated as the problem with show by some racist fans, also allows the incorrect scapegoating of fan racism as the sole reason many people don’t jibe with this show.

Pretty sure they’re making a tongue-in-cheek joke because of this quote from the OP article:

I lol’d at the replies. Apparently the Witcher isn’t the only thing that’s getting significant viewership drop off partway through...

Your joke is wooshing over a lot of people’s heads here, who I can assume didn’t actually read the whole article lol

I think you’ll find if you do some introspection that you’re actually racist and mad about Phillipa.

I don’t think he’s being cagey; I think he just literally can’t even remember all of the movies he’s seen. The guy’s a huge movie buff and has probably seen more movies than all of us combined.

Vaan should be at the bottom, Terra should be higher.

The other thing I’ll give him: he was excellent at PR spectacle. Melting down the cannons of your enemies and using the metal to forge your victory monument. That’s a powerful message.

Couldn’t agree more about the writing. I have a soft spot for the source material/games and I think the 4 leads have decent chemistry which pulls me through the worst of it, but I’m often astonished at the quality of the writing. It’s kind of silly to talk about anachronisms in the context of a fantasy world, but

Yo be fair, the show’s barely surviving with Cavill. I finished these last few episodes leaving the show on the background while doing something else.

Any show can survive an actor change if the writing is good.

Tell us you haven’t watched it without saying you haven’t watched it...

It may be that losing Cavill is a death knell because the only thing keeping the show popular was his picture perfect portrayal of how most viewers see Geralt.

It feels like Kristen Davis is the only actress on this show who remembers Charlotte is a character, and not Kristen Davis.
