“Nice” is debatable. DC (and surrounding areas) real estate is nuts!

Yup, I played around with Redfin once and there are pretty modest-sized homes near Metro stops that are worth a million dollars. Even townhouses can go for at least $500k, and usually more if you’re close to a Metro stop or major attraction. But that was in the Northwest, which is pretty affluent.

Yeah. I was thinking the houses get bigger because you’re getting further away from DC. I have a friend whose mum used to have a small house in Maryland. It was a half million dollars in value because it within walking distance of the DC Metro Red Line. Or so I was told.
