I would guess that Nintendo is looking for multiple simultaneous instances of a game running and using that as the flag for the pirated games. If each cartridge or digital copy of a game is supposed to have a unique ID that would rightfully raise some red flags in their systems.

This isn’t as great as the time when Sony dunked on Microsoft about letting friend’s borrow physical for this gen. But it’s up there, especially since it’s both Nintendo and Xbox poking fun at Sony. Too bad Sony doesn’t want to play ball.
Meh, it’s less that Sony won the generation and more that Microsoft lost it. They made some devastating mistakes in the run up to the XBO’s launch, particularly the initially-planned online DRM and going all-in on Kinect (which had its own problems).
