I think your input device is just as important as the distance from the screen. 30 fps is almost intolerable to me on PC using a mouse, whereas it’s fine with a controller (from a distance, at least).

damn, this is as effective as any optical illusion I’ve seen. it seems like things are being pulled toward you or pushed away, particularly the ground textures.

I agree with you, I’m hoping there’s a long term plan for preservation so that a title’s usefulness to gamepass doesn’t effect its availability in 10, 15 years and beyond. I have some faith that the plan is to offer the ability to buy and play these games for decades to come, but who knows. 

I’ll be bummed if that’s the case. I’ve played a decent amount of Tarkov, and the brief bit of non-monster gunplay didn’t look too dissimilar to that, albeit graphically more impressive.

Yeah I play MS games exclusively on PC, and while it’s a great deal, the user experience is... unpleasant. Try linking your Game Pass Ultimate to EA play and see if you can avoid chucking your computer into space.
