hahahaha you’re right, that was a bit dramatic, i’ve considered it a bit more. from my perspective it would be, but that doesn’t mean it is from everyone’s.

I wouldn’t use the word “incumbent,” but I think it would be... surprising I guess if she didn’t want people to know that she doesn’t fuck with them. Not damning, but a bit odd. I know I wouldn’t want anyone thinking I was affiliated in any way. I agree that a subset of people are performatively upset, but I

I think that plenty of people operate in bad faith, but I can understand why some people would want her to publicly speak out about it. I really am not trying to imply she’s in any way responsible, but putting myself in her shoes I would be damn sure to let people know I don’t fuck with them. I’m not gonna get worked

Me eating a slice of cheese with some shrooms sitting on my desk:

I agree, I don’t think I implied otherwise. My point was that I understood why people would expect her to publicly disavow the VP in the here and now. Though I have seen several other comments on this article that bring up the fact that they’re not an all white org anymore while not give the context that Brick

Knoxville rules, glad he’s still in good health. Bam.... not so much unfortunately

Interesting! Maybe it’s something that’s become more common knowledge in a younger generation, but I lived in STL for years (off Cherokee) and I don’t think it ever came up around someone who wasn’t at least vaguely aware of it’s history. My experience is anecdotal though, and everyone was definitely an exaggeration.

Totally reasonable response, and I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but I don’t fully see eye to eye with you on some of those points.

I’m commenting on a lot of these posts bc I don’t think people who aren’t from St. Louis or familiar with the Veiled Prophets history really understand how fucked up they are. I’m not gonna leave a long explainer, but just read up on em and you might understand why some people seem unreasonably upset by this. Really

I’m in the Greys, so nobody will see this, but pleassssseeee everyone who’s commenting on this read up on the Veiled Prophets. I’m not saying she’s a Nazi, I’m sure she’s a perfectly nice person these days, but just read up on em and you’ll realize why some people are a bit wary.

I think a lot of the outrage about people calling this out stems from a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Veiled Prophets are, and their specific regional context. Truly, I urge you to read up on them. It’s fascinating (and obviously horrifying). I’m not saying this makes her a Nazi, I think that angle is dumb,

Okay I feel ya, but the Veiled Prophets society is like.... something everyone in St Louis knows about. Read up on it, it’s genuinely fascinating. Not saying it makes her a nazi or whatever, but it’s a little different than some random pageant in the midwest.

Right, but that’s a much less sympathetic argument to make than the one they actually do make, which is “our poor musicians are dying bc you used their song in a twitch stream :/”. Can’t have it both ways.

Talk to the engineers and make sure you get the ship upgrades!! For... reasons. The ending of 2 is great, glad you’re loving them both.

A big fuck you to the RIAA, as always. Ask musicians what they think of this. Of course they wont, because they won’t like the answer and they’d rather use small musicians as a shield.

Let’s hope 4 is a return to form.

I’m shocked and appalled!

Stick with the original imo. Even unmodded it holds up fine on PC, and controls a lot better than it did on the 360.

Oh wow, I completely disagree. ME1 is the clearly the best in the series to me, and while the other games improved certain aspects (many of which you noted), they also trimmed out about half of what I loved so much about ME1.

I replayed ME1 for the third time two years ago. Would love go back to see a more polished version, but what I’ve seen in the trailers has been a step backwards in the art department. Really dislike the lighting changes in the ship and on the first planet.
