Never played it, never gonna play it, but I think that art style and world looks really good! Of the two main Bethesda series, I think ES makes a lot more sense for an MMO. If I had to play an MMO I’d probably give this a shot.

Yeah, legitimately the most exciting feature they could possibly offer at a similar price point to the OG. Upscaling Nintendo games or indie games that have to run on both models to 4k is obviously a huge plus, but even more importantly, I think this could mean a lot more third party games (even into this console…

One of my favorite games of the last gen, probably the best traversal mechanic in any open world game I’ve played. Don’t see the relation between that and having idiot fans, but since you asked.

Sweeney’s right, but I hate it when people say “in a free market, this would never happen!” to complain about conditions that were created because of a free market. god damn, this sucks. they put out some of my favorite games ever. hope they land places where their work will be appreciated and similarly unique games are made. 

yeah, digital foundry explains it super well. some small thin objects like hair, power lines, and text actually look even better. it’s really amazing. i really don’t like nvidia but until amd comes up with something roughly comparable i can’t see going anywhere else when i upgrade.

I don’t know that I’d describe it as “better” , but because it can be applied with little to no developer input, the chances of a large amount of the back catalog getting support eventually are a lot higher than Sony’s more bespoke approach. I think the prospect of having the majority of your digital library running…
