Yeah. I don’t think it’s a *bad* thing to have a vocal minority with high expectations, to be clear. I just think it should be acknowledged for what it is.

the “okay” was snippy, sorry lol. I don’t think everyone was lying, but I do think that CDPR raising expectations (remember the “COMES OUT WHEN ITS DAMN READY” shit from the launch trailer) and cultivating a hyper-engaged fanbase set them up to be evaluated more critically than other games are. Which is fine, they

okay, but some estimated number of twitter accounts being mad is also anecdotal. there’s no scientific study of this. it’s just public sentiment, which can appear outsized for like, a million reasons. that said, cdpr was dumb to not see this coming. their fanbase is extremely engaged, of course they’re going to be

i really hope they get their shit together for whatever their next project is. love their games and the devs are super talented, but it would be nice to play them without knowing what a shitshow the company is for said talented devs.

lol same, i’m kinda glad that you can’t really get one right now because i’d be tempted. i’ll upgrade at some point but considering this is the only game i have trouble running it’s not pressing, and i’m broke as shit from gift buying anyway rn

just to support your decision, my brother is playing on a 1070 and it’s honestly pretty rough. even my 1080ti struggles a little. this really does seem kinda crysis-esque (which i appreciate).

thanks for the comment, super interesting from an outsiders perspective! I had noted that recently many of the settings in modern games that have a real performance impact are not nuts and bolt poly counts. Good to hear an explanation for that.

I think “blurry” kinda does a disservice to the effect (at high resolution), but I get that it’s a preference thing. I love it, especially for first person RPG’s. helps with immersion imo.

100 percent. I’ve had a 1080 ti for 4ish years and this is the first game I’ve played that makes me want to upgrade. It looks *pretty good* on my card but watching videos recorded by people with higher end set-ups, I can see I’m missing out on a decent amount.

I have had the absolute worst luck with Xbox disc drives this gen. Had a One S and One X, both disc drives just... stopped working. Tried every fix I could find, nothing helped. Painfully, both were out of warranty.

having a girlfriend is cool to be fair

meatboy was the first game like that i played (also loved celeste)

dramamine! for the occasional vr game i wanna play it’s extremely helpful. in small doses it doesn’t really have any side effects, at least for me. definitely wouldn’t wanna make fps’ your main genre, but if it gets you through the titanfall 2 campaign it’s worth it.

The more I see the ps5 the more it grows on me. My initial negative reaction was so strong that it took awhile to overcome, but i’ve warmed on it, and it was really interesting to hear the designers intent. I appreciate the bold look.

that fur looks insane on ps5, watch the digital foundry video.

i love hearing from people who have a weird opinion about a game series. one of my friends swears Halo 4 is the best in the series. i can’t even begin to understand, but hey, shit clicks different with different people.

all respect to you, but i would hate that. maybe just fix the shooting mechanics a little, but don’t touch the loot systems or progression at all. to me they were the best in the series, though i acknowledge they aren’t for everyone.

For launch games, bugsnaxx. I recognize the cache of demons souls and spider man, but neither series particularly appeal to me. may get demon souls just to oggle at it though.

yeah, i bet you’re right. i’m excited to get my hands on it to see what that haptic feedback is like. can’t imagine wanting to turn it off if it’s as good as everyone says it is.

bruh you heard of bugsnaxx
