I really don’t agree with Marty’s personal politics at all, and he does seem prickly, but I feel he’s in the right here. Methods might not be stellar, but honestly nothing in that article was so out of line that it would serve to diminish his overall point, which, imo, was and is correct.

Kind of, but visibility on those things is pretty good, and if you’ve got a vehicle (not too hard to find most of the time) you can usually make a break for it. It isn’t always wise to do that, but that’s the gamble.

I hope they buff some of the other AR’s, the M4 is really a cut above everything else (other than box guns) right now.

I disagree. the calculus changes when it’s in an air drop. You take on a lot of risk going for those, and usually have to kill at least one other person/squad, meaning it’s more of a reward for aggressive play/skill than finding a lev 3 in a random building.

It’s tough to get combat experience in BR games, so I understand people’s impulse to drop somewhere where they’re almost guaranteed a quick fight, but it really does start to become a problem for the games pacing when 30+ people drop on one location out of the dozens of possible…

Duos and Squads really help with getting to experience the new items! I’m sort of mediocre/indifferent to obsessively looting, and playin with my brother is a nice way for me to get to use/see stuff like the port a fort that I normally would miss.

big thunder fan here, russ is absolutely not the type of dude to thrive in the context of a well built superteam (for clarification, this years thunder team is not one of those), and i’m cool with that. last year was great fun, this year has been mostly fun with a few real low points.
