Edna Mode was designed after Edith Head iconic superstar hollywood costumer. Edith Head was in an episode of Columbo and I recognized her immediately as Edna Mode the super hero costume maker and had to google who she was.

Ivanka was never welcome in NYC high society. She was tolerated because she went to school with the right people, however, the Trumps weren’t ever welcome in NY high society. Now she can be appropriately shunned like her father has been in those social circles.
