Mad queen gone mad, she is pissed at the world.

The bells didn’t make her go crazy. It alerted her to a choice:

Can anyone explain to me why Sansa hated Dany from day one? I know she’s a foreign ruler and Sansa is understandably skeptical of outside rule, but the Starks spared themselves from disaster the first time around by bending the knee to Aegon and becoming wardens of the north. Dany also has the power to overthrow

Thank you so much. This has been so clearly Dany’s arc since early on. She was ready in Season 1 to take King’s Landing with the Dothraki horde and she’s seen first-hand what happens when Dothraki attack a city, and her only contribution is “don’t rape so much.” Her insistence on reminding everyone how big her army

So... The final “subverting expectations” is going to be Jon killing Dany? Seriously, I mean I get that the character has been poorly serviced when compared to the novels but damn that’s a shitty ending for both of the ostensible leads— forget Dany for a second just look at Jon- you turn of thr first woman you love

This is a fair analysis. Although if the show’s overall thesis is that choosing rulers by birth is the worst way to go about it, they wouldn’t be positioning Jon, literally the only male heir, to take the throne. Maybe it was the only way to convolute a ruler who makes sense? I mean, the idea of this show ending with

On the one hand, after thinking it over, I can appreciate that there was no way she was just going to win and “free” everyone. Like.... it was too nice a storyline for this show. It couldn’t happen. But on the other hand.

I agree that Dany’s plot was built up over many seasons, and it’s in character with consideration of the long arc... but the writers failed to effectively show her transition from rationalizing her acts of violence with rhetoric of being a champion of the oppressed, to just burning a city for funsies that had just

It seems I’m one of the only people who still likes this show now, because apparently the idea that a show whose only long-running theme that rulership by birth is destructive at best and when led by ill rulers is horrifying in totality, ending with yet another ill-ruler with a longstanding history of

“Paula Abdul threw a hat at me once.  It was awesome.”

I worked at Virgin records in the 90's and I was fortunate enough to meet Paula several times. While I didn’t care for much of her music, I can say that she was one of the sweetest and genuine artists I got to work with. Love her.

I like that the person whose screen name is “Food” is the one to point this out.

You got that backwards. She baked the sons into a pie and fed it to their father. Much less disturbing.

**May I please be ungreyed?**

I cared more about ser pounce then I did Tommen

I feel like i have to point this out a million times, but Aunt and nephew is a far cry from incest in their world. marriages in other families besides the targs have had cousin marry cousin, such as Tywin Lannister for example. he married his own cousin! basically the ONLY sort of relationships that would be

I was thinking the same thing. Also thinking a Dany/Jon marriage would solve the succession problem with the typical brother/sister Targaryen hook-ups dialed back since she’s just his aunt. Jesus, this show.

The Hound is a character who was kind of dead inside and was reborn. Jorah fled from his fate and either he dies in battle or takes the Black when this is all over. Brienne shouldn’t be looked at as being screwed but rather just another step closer to what she always wanted, respect and recognition. She’s a doom drive

It’s funny that some people are more disturbed by Arya having consensual sex than the time she killed a guy, baked his body parts into a pie and then fed it to the guy’s sons.

Dany was raised most of her life thinking she was going to marry her brother, Visarys (sp.?). It’s an accepted Targaryans thing. Dany is not phased by incest element of the familial reveal at all.
