That and the doll faced Captain Marvel. I never liked the doll face style in Soul Calibur character creator, this felt even more wrong.

Check the original Secret Wars. Wolverine runs around with claws out all the time, but basically does nothing. The only time he gets to cut someone, is when Absorbing Man is in stone form, so there’s no blood and he can re-attach his arm.
For a director who goes on and on about how post-credits scenes are ruining movies and what not, he doesn’t seem to be able to quit telling us how we should have experienced it.
Why do people think that WWE wrestlers make good actors? Looking the part doesn’t mean you’re going to nail it.
Dwayne Johnson and Bautista are exceptions. Triple H, Stone Cold, whoever was the first Sabretooth; are the norm.
Leia: I love you.
Han: I know :/
There’s like one or two movie serieses that does this and they really are a series now, like the MCU. Other movies that have them, are wishing for a series of movies, but are so shit htat no one wants to see a second or third instalment.
I’ve liked Discovery a whole lot more since it’s return from the mid-season break, but I finally realized what it kept reminding me tonally of: Ultimate Marvel comics.
So much more nihilistic than previous Star Trek shows. More violent, more sex. And especially, more cannibalism and eating your enemies.
I don’t see this any different from someone who trains a lot in some traditional sport like swimming or ice hockey. They spend a huge amount of their time to train in something to become professional and most likely won’t have as much time for school, or the school even supports this with a stipend or going easy with…
So it seems the whole movie happens in Russia with russian people, who are speaking russian. So of course the actors are made to speak english with a russian accent.
What’s the point? They could just deliver the lines with neutral english accent and the immersion would be better.
I started to feel the same (I loathed all the Kick-Ass sequels), but was totally suprised by Empress. A fun sci-fi romp, with a family in it’s center. It was a conscious change of tone for Millar. And Stuart Immonen’s art is amazing as always.
No, I really liked Cassandra Nova’s character from the very first page. What I didn’t like was the revelation that she is some Shiar Mummudrai. It would’ve been just fine if she was some psycho twin of Xavier’s.
Like it would’ve been fine that Onslaught grew just from Xavier’s own dark side. There didn’t need to be any…
I think that ALL game development should just stop and instead just coscentrate on creating exciting Youtube and Twitch personalities/channels to follow, because thats the way the youngsters game now.
I keep encountering this issue on “geek-culture” sites: I seem to know a lot more about this stuff than people who actually get paid to write about this stuff. And of the free time I have, I don’t spend it that much on consuming this stuff.
But there was actual gameplay mechanics: the kid warned about enemies behind Kratos, which is nice, especially now that the camera isn’t isometric.
Preacher: how Cassidy fast forwarded to a whiner and a loser. In the comics he started as this funny, greatest drinking buddy a man could have, and only after a longer period of time started to really show the negative sides. And the turn was good, because as a reader I really felt dissapointed and betrayed by the…
I’ve said it here on io9 before: Quesada wasn’t paying attention when Morrison pitched the permanent death of Magneto and just approved the whole story. Like any writter at Marvel or DC would be able to kill any character permanently.
Yeah, this just cemented the fact that I don’t even want to hear Fett’s thoughts and the less the character speaks, the better.
Even if it was written amazingly, it just doesn’t fit how the character is presented to audience: the silent, efficient bountyhunter.
So now we just wait for the moment when The Joker kills Catwoman. Or there’s some mind control and the marriage is off.
Punisher is the Bat-God version of Batman in Marvel. He is always the most prepared of Marvel’s protagonists and just a human. Criminals rarely have the upper hand with him and he takes even down the superpowered people by outsmarting them and being ruthless (that Batman can also be).
About the time-paradox:
Maybe Skynet don’t know either how changing the past will affect the current, but it is desperate and takes one final risk by sending a terminator to kill Sarah Connor (I don’t think people in the post-apocalyptic had IDs with them or street addresses, so it only had a name and a city, based…
