That video is definitely sped up. You can tell by the speed of the wipers and the hazards of the truck in the last bit of the lap. Also the sound is all messed up throughout the whole video, and the pace at which some of the sharper turns go by there should have been some traction loss. It’s definitely sped up by at

Listen man, I don’t have time to pull out my 2nd year engineering text book to give you exact figures. Brakes have overwhelmingly more power than any given passenger vehicles engine. I really couldn’t care about the competence of the driver. All I replied to was your statement that brakes are not strong enough to

Riiiiight. And where exactly did you get the notion that brakes are not strong enough to overpower the engine in their respective vehicle? How about you do a little test, accelerate as hard as you can to 80km/h and time it. Then from 80 brake as hard as you can time that as well. Let me know which happens faster.

While looks are subjective, and you can have your own opinion, I completely disagree. The McLaren F1 is leagues above the Project One in the looks department. The Mclaren is instantly pleasing to the eye, the Project One I have to fight pretty hard to enjoy it’s looks. Looking at stuff individually I can enjoy it, but

That Miura isn’t even made to look good. It’s just made to piss people off. Look at it, it’s horrid. They took something beautiful and made it a piece of garbage that was riveted together. Maybe that was the point.

Redbull TV does this for free. They air the live stages for free as well if you manage to catch them on time. I really enjoy their coverage.

I feel like most people replying/voting to this really don’t know much about the M Coupe. It has been appreciating very steeply these past few years. This isn’t even at the top of the food chain when it comes to price. In fact I believe one was sold at $20k above this price.

Don’t forget about the E36....

I’m really not understanding how you can’t hear the difference between the video you linked and the sound of today’s engines... When the old engines really got into it they sound insane, and you can CLEARLY hear it in the video you posted. The noise is very far removed from the sound today’s F1 cars make.

I suppose I was replying more to that argument than your post specifically. I know what you were trying to say, that’s why I didn’t mention you specifically in my post (only mentioned “those that think the WRX is better”). Sorry if you felt that it was directed at you, it was definitely not.

Sorry but the WRX isn’t even close to being in the same universe as the STI. I bought a ‘16 WRX, waited 6 months in anticipation all the while reading rave reviews about how amazing the car is.
