I grew up across the river in Lambertville. All of my happy high school memories involve weekends spent in New Hope. (I've even performed on the Bucks County Playhouse stage!). Love New Hope.

That's nice. You know how repetition of a word renders it meaningless? Vampire Diaries has done that to the word "doppelganger."

She wishes.

The second half of book 3, with some parts of books 4 and 5 that chronologically overlap. Because books 4 and 5 happen at the same time and are basically one enormous book from here on out it's better to think in terms of "what storylines will be covered" rather than "what books."

And a Siouxsie and the Banshees cover?? Love it.

Yup. I get no high from running. Long runs make me cry.

Well then you have to do it and take lots of pictures.

Do it! And some of those hats, and a train whistle! OK, now I have gone too far. . .

It's worth checking with your employer to make sure that they are withholding the correct amount, especially if something in your status has changed. For instance, I moved into NYC without my employer realizing and they weren't withholding city taxes, so I took a hit that year. You can also ask your employer to

UGH. I am so sorry that happened to you. I spend a lot of time of the phone with patrons and sometimes they can just be the worst. My assistant took two awful calls yesterday and was amazed that I'm able to remain civil on the phone. The secret is to remember the lovely people even when dealing with the dicks.

Agreed that you should talk to people in the field to see what is the right track, but I will tell you that everyone I know in social work has an advanced degree. Smith and Bryn Mawr have great schools of social work (I'm biased though because I know great women who have gone to both programs).

Depends on the non-profit and the work your are applying for. I work in arts development, so when I'm hiring I'm looking for people with arts degrees and admin experience. Internships and volunteer experience will be great boosts to your resume regardless of your major. Some positions may require an advanced degree.

When I was little my mom always got my clothes from the boys side because the colors were better. Primary colors versus pastels. I don't think I had a really pink frilly thing until I was old enough to ask for them.

Oh believe me, we watched it several times. You know, for research.

I took the quiz and got Scary. Whatevs.

Crabtree is my mother's maiden name. I really hope that we aren't distantly related to these people.

I was wondering where the Olympic oath was! I even backed up the DVR to make sure I hadn't nodded off and missed it. What an odd thing to edit out since it's a traditional part of the ceremony. It may be the same every time but it's an important reminder of the Olympic spirit.

That's definitely from the wake. I mentioned in a previous post that I walk past it Thursday night (it's on my way home from work, I didn't know this would be going on). That store is catty-corner to the funeral home. They had paps and other photographers cordoned off to either side of the entrance so that visitors

I inadvertently walked by the funeral home hosting PSH's wake last night. I was shocked at the number of paparazzi outside. It was gross.

Yeah, it had different titles in the US and the UK. No idea why.
