I successfully trained my cats, so no, it's not impossible.

I live in NYC, where I see dogs stick their nose in every kind of garbage and urine they can find, and not just from other dogs, if you get my drift. Then they go home and lick your face.
Pfft, my cats would be smart enough to eat my still-warm corpse...
Spray bottle does the trick for me.
As much as there is great symbolism here, it's rather human to associate our internal knowledge with the behaviour of other people & species. It's the brain's way of drawing conclusions more quickly so that you do not have to focus on finding the same conclusion more than once - i.e. patterns. Sadly, it often fails in…
When our son grew up and left the house for the Air Force, our black and white shorthaired cat who adored him became severely depressed, would spend 23 hours a day sitting on his bed, overate the remainder of the time until she had gained three or four pounds (that's a lot for a cat) and had become quite obese, and…
Just like dogs who shit in the yard and bury it by scratching up dirt and old poop and then jump on your bed. I guess you're ok with your dog spending hours licking it's own junk then slobbering all over your face.

Why not just have both? My kitty Lucy on the left, puppy Lulabelle on the right.
I think if I died at home alone, you would find both my cats laying by my side, keeping me company until I was found. When ever I am sick.. there they are. In fact, they are both laying next to me while I surf Lifehacker.
Even the largest dog will obey you and not eat you.
I've been around bad cats and bad dogs as well as good cats and good dogs. In my opinion, the difference is in the owner and how the animal was raised.
I guess I am the only one that prefers iOS 7.0.x over 7.1... I prefer big square buttons rather than small rounded ones. Animations are very irritating, even with reduce motion activated.
New keyboard is kind of confusing.
Guess I'll just get used to it with time, but I didn't like it.
