There are three kinds of people who shit on cars that “don’t have enough horsepower”:

The ritual is very simple.

As somebody that exclusively buys high-mileage BMW’s with zero service records (because I’m cheap and can’t afford nice enthusiast-owned cars), here’s what I do immediately after buying a car:

Buy a Singer...

My daily jammy: Seiko SARB065. JDM, mechanical 6bps, guilloche, sub-$400

Just finished my build last month: what this project might have looked like 20 years ago. Still gotta get those lawnmowers though.

Just got back from Japan and had the immense pleasure of riding the Shinkansen a couple times. It was glorious.

I can’t wait to try to find one in 5 years and be disappointed it’s still out of my price range.

I wasn’t a big Gallardo fan when it first came out (baby Lambo, just an angular R8, etc.). I’m obsessed with them now. It hasn’t aged. If anything it looks better now than when it first launched.

When US auto companies first went to mexico, they wreaked havoc because they paid WAY TOO MUCH. It was catastrophic in many regions.

Just pick a slightly different Porsche.

Maybe they shouldn’t have called it ‘Autopilot’? Call it Driver-Assist. Don’t call it by a term that is widely used to mean complete automation.

Rad rad rad rad, rad rad. Rad rad rad rad rad rad. RAD! Rad rad rad rad rad rad rad rad rad? Raaaaaaaaaad.

The demographics purchasing a SL65 aren’t buying it as a track toy, to be obnoxiously flashy, or to have the fastest vehicle.

I’d absolutely take the V12 for the pedigree. If it were naturally aspirated that would be even better, but I guess we take what we can get these days. As a practical matter, you don’t really need more performance than you can get out of a naturally aspirated six cylinder. Everything above 300 hp is just for bragging

Disagree. This law is fantastic. It shouldn’t just be a pull over for faster traffic rule. OK is ahead of the curve on this one.

My guess is they are in on it. They showed up just before the theft, all got out and sort of shuffled around not going anywhere in particular, and the one lady even spoke to the forklift operator. Perhaps they are there to act as witnesses and when they are found will just say “Yea, it looked weird but he said it was
