Remember when Square tried to stop people from posting info online about Final Fantasy 9 and was laughed off the internet so fast they had to reverse their decision immediately? And that was 17 years ago!

Honestly my big reason with being ok with this, is that we live in a day and age where avoiding spoilers for games is increasingly hard to do, so I don’t mind that there a few less people with screenshots and videos of spoilers out there.
Completely agree, let’s not fool ourselves, the majority of people who watch let’s play videos are not going to buy the game because they have already seen what it is about. Much less in story-driven games where they can see the story unfold, what reason is there for people to buy the game if they have already seen…
I have to disagree. When Giant Bomb did their full let’s play of Persona 4, it prompted a lot of people to buy the game and it’s other iterations. I don’t think it hurt sales at all and it put the game on the radar of many people who would have dismissed it as just another JRPG.
I once again want to try to bring some sanity to this discussion. Please don’t vent your anger at Atlus USA or Atlus EU. They are simply doing what they are told to do by their parent company. Please direct your complaints to Atlus JAPAN, and thank your regional localizers for their hard work.
...and instead decided to use tax dollars for public safety, transportation and affordable housing. A rare time to be proud of that city.
Ran into it last night. I even made sure I updated while the joycons were attached to the console. If the issue had been fixed, Nintendo wouldn’t have sent out that statement on probable causes the day of release.
No, the issue is still being reported after the patch.
While my Joy Cons have had issues right off the bat, I’ve played nearly 10 hours of Zelda with my pro controller and have had zero issues.
Something about this controller looks oddly familiar. Hey, wait a second! It’s basically this with a few extra buttons.
Put a glass of water in front of a PS4 controller. Does the same thing. It’s these weak wireless signals they are using.
Nope, you can do math and think ahead. Unlike the typical Nintendo fanboy.
But will it brick out when near an aquarium?
Like I said, my newer one—which has a BMW turbo four used in a lot of their cars—has been fine and great. The old one was a pain in the ass. I would not recommend it.
It’s both a not totally huge thing but also still annoying and seemingly completely unnecessary.
You’d be surprised. I’m a Wii u owner and I bought the game for the Wii u because I have absolutely no reason to get a Switch at this point. Wii U had Smash, Kart, 3D World and Zelda. Switch has... 1 2 Switch and Zelda. Not to mention prohibitively expensive extra controllers
There are a few folks I know who picked it up for the WiiU and are waiting on the Switch. Still, I honestly wonder what could have been if it had been 100% Switch focused instead. That said, it proves that when not blazing new trails, Nintendo still knows how to make a well-tread path like open-world and survial games…
It’s a good point. I can’t imagine they could have done much more than get a smooth framerate at 900p since the game already seems to be taxing the Switch to its limits, but I’m curious to see how many people dust of the Wii U to play BotW (I imagine anyone who has been consistently using the Wii U was likely to be a…
Unless you are really gunning for Splatoon 2 or any of the indies coming this spring/summer, probably no harm in waiting till Mario comes to get a Switch, especially since there might be a better deal or pack-in by that point.
As a Wii U owner with plans to get a Switch, this is making the choice of getting BotW on one system or another very difficult. I feel like Tantalus in Tartarus.
