Was the music original or was that just lifted from somewhere else...?

I am intrigued...

I think you have a good point in giving some latitude for non-PC things. BUT, in the context of this movie, we have to acknowledge that this is very wrong and thanks to new laws very illegal.

I haven’t seen most of what you mention above. But, some of those I would categorize as satirical as opposed to teen comedies.

As a Chicagoan, who would have thought the most memorable thing about the 2007 Super Bowl would be Prince.

Read the whole article just to learn what’s going on in that top pic. Kind of looks like she’s giving him a handjob...

No. But, fuck ‘em.

Good point. That loss of money is probably why they’re only finally getting around to bankrolling a sequel to the Eddie Murphy flick. :)

However, we can’t imagine that the production company would skip out on another chance to potentially rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars on a modestly-budgeted film.

Oh! And I forgot about Claire Danes! She was perfectly tragic (in a good way)!

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the Winona Ryder-starring version, but I remember it quite fondly. Kirsten Dunst as the youngest sister who was obsessed with outward appearances was a standout.

“Flames. Flames. On the side of my face.”

I was wondering the same thing...

THANKS for all the replies. Let me clarify. Is the HBO TV SERIES appropriate for her? I’ve read the books myself and know they’re fine (and love them). I was just wondering if the TV series would try and make this more adult.

Question: I’m currently reading The Golden Compass with my 12 year old (almost done!).

I’m definitely having trouble picturing Lin-Manuel Miranda in this part. But, then I’m also having trouble picturing James McAvoy as being as impressive a presence as Daniel Craig. For all the movie’s faults, they did get the casting right on many of the characters.

It may have fizzled a little. But, it had fun twists and turns.

Hey! There’s that dude from Misfits. That was a good show until it wasn’t.

Side note: I liked Jekyll (even if it probably made no sense).

First time I’ve heard “shofar” mentioned in rap. Can’t wait to whip this out next Rosh Hashanah.
