You hate it. If it was genuine Louis Quatorze decoration (in its original location), rather too fond of foll-de-rolls and gilding though it is, it would be okay. But a 20th century knock-off of Louis Quatorze: vulgar in the extreme, tacky, nasty. Too much money and not enough taste.

And the peace sign is really the ‘V for Victory’ sign from World War 2, as popularised by Winston Churchill - again, a British sign. It only became known as the peace sign later on, when it became internationally well known.
