just make sure your therapist isn't a Star Wars fan; you'll just end up arguing about JJ Abrams instead of talking about your problems.

[Assuming she's not a secret daughter unknown to even Luke] the fact that Han and Leia never mention that Luke has a daughter, and the fact that Luke never thought to look for his daughter who disappeared at age 5 .
I think Harrison Ford turned in a great performance, otherwise I totally agree with your take on this movie. Bittersweet for our old heroes. The look on Luke's face at the end is almost shockingly full of pathos when you remember that whiny little kid on Tattooine.
She's not Leia's daughter, unless the only reason Leia never mentions having a daughter is so we don't know Rey is Leia's daughter, which would be impossibly dumb, even for Abrams.
er, obviously i mean "incredible" in the colloquial "it was awesome!" sense and not in the literal "it defies credibility" sense lol :)
Agree to disagree then, I guess. I found it an incredible and moving scene.
I disagree with your points about Han's death. I think it was one of the best shot, most beautifully crafted moments in any Star Wars movie. Han lovingly touching Ren's face as he is dying? Best moment of the movie. Heart-breaking, specific, unexpected, and Driver's face during it is perfect: confused, sad, the edge…
definitely one of their best, and Oscar Isaac is great in it
yeah but his glorious mane!
Oh, for sure. But on the flip side, maybe he learned his lesson? Here's to hoping!
damn, you're completely right. I never even thought he could be suffering Post Traumatic Stressed Droid syndrome.
shit, its all starting to make sense.
*HOT piece of gentleman
Well, I'm still interested in talking about the movie, because most people I know haven't seen it yet. So, like you, I'm coming on here to see reactions and post thoughts on the first weekend after a new Star Wars movie. But I sort the comments by newest, so if someone is posting an inordinate amount of one-off's it…
not only are you not done, apparently, you're now commenting to air.
maybe you should keep a list and make a new post for every, like, five thoughts.
Oh yeah! I was on the edge of my seat. I knew he was going to yell his real name. I would have bet money it was "Anakin" and when he yelled "Ben!" I was really pleasantly surprised. And Ford killed that moment.
True. It's unclear if we're supposed to believe the Republic really is fucked and done for and now its just the Resistance, or what. Definitely a weakness.
True, but I would counter with: Rey says "family" but never really specifies exactly whom she is waiting for; never says, "mother," etc. The fact that she is waiting for someone but is vague about whom she is waiting for is kind of odd. If she had been a child at the academy with Ren, she might have considered him…
i can definitely see redemption for Ren as a reasonable plot course from here on out. And I certainly hope this theory doesn't preclude a Ren/Rey baby; that'd be one good looking Force baby.
