It boggles the mind that Tabletop Simulator is actually being recommended as a VTT for playing RPGs. I can’t think of a less efficient way to run an RPG game session, except for possibly Vassal. GMs need to be able to improvise on the fly, so using a VTT that limits you to using only prepared assets is not the best

If I wanted all that done for me, I’d play a computer game. And in any case I’d have a hard time trusting that it did it all exactly right.

I simply cannot believe that Tabletop Simulator was presented as one of the top contenders in the “virtual tabletop for RPG” field. It’s for BOARDGAMING! Why wasn’t Battlegrounds/BRPG given even a passing mention? It’s been one of the major RPG VTTs for close to a decade, now, with tons of professional content
