I never doubt that rocketry is hard. But just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean it has to be dangerous. The shuttle is the deadliest space vehicle to ever fly.

Realistically, the Air Force should’ve never had gotten involved. The Air Force requirements for the shuttle made it a compromised design.

Technically capsules use RCS thrusters to maneuver in the atmosphere. But idk what to call this type of launch vehicle.

TBH the shuttles were a mistake IMO. Love the things, absolutely breathtaking and I will always love them. But goddamn, they should’ve never been built.

Considering NASA’s incompetence proceeding the Challenger and Columbia disasters, I wouldn’t put it past NASA to take it.

This thing is absolutely amazing. But always wanted to know- is this thing a capsule or shuttle? Its like a love child of the two.
