I’ve been writing about rare manual Chrysler minivans for far too long

You’d think with rain sensing windshield wipers you wouldn’t need to touch controls at all other than to turn the system on in the first place. Maybe the guy was adjusting sensitivity? In either case that function needs to be on a stalk not a screen.

Lexus GX470 aka the Land Cruiser Prado. Known to easily surpass 300K miles (read extremely reliable), great 4x4 ability, lots of comfort, lots of space for the move plus a trailer hitch for a U-Haul trailer, not commonly seen on the road.

If I told them once I told them a thousand times: Ford Flex first, puppet show second.

an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides

Somehow I thought an article with a title saying “study shows the most polluted places” would show the most polluted places.

The best manual cars have already been built, no need for any more.

Agreed but also...am I the only one who saw the handful of marked police officers in neon hi-vis jackets on bikes assisting in the arrest? Sure they weren’t in the immediate frame of the video but they were clearly just off screen as they appeared within seconds.

Any news on the other rental car agencies? I can’t imagine Avis/Enterprise-National-Alamo/Thrifty-Dollar/Sixt/etc. are doing any better yet no talk of bankruptcy or fire sales?

The strong classic car market is definitely a factor in raising the average vehicle age. My fleet average is 30 years because we have 2 modern DD’s and 2 classics from the 60's (356, Bus).

Every company does that. When Volkswagen wanted to build a factory in the US they pitted Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee against each other and ultimately settled on Chattanooga because of huge tax breaks and the state prepped the building site for them.

After reading this site daily for over 10 years I finally flagged my first post (his). Could you imagine Road&Track telling one of it’s readers to eat shit? Just wow.

Good timing on the article as one just popped up locally on CL (in Santa Cruz, CA). Look at those federalized sealed beam headlights, did they sell these things here? Also for $3K I nominate this as a crazy NP/CP.

The technology “could have the potential to become another pillar in the portfolio of BMW,” Chief Executive Officer Oliver Zipse said.

a new compact pickup truck based on the Bronco Sport potentially called the “Maverick” expected to debut next year.

Checker Marathon for taxi/uber/lyft service. Think modern London Taxi (LEVC TX) but for the Checker.

I’ve had many Fusion Hybrid rentals and would agree. It’s not exciting but it does all basic car things well (good comfort, good equipment, good looks, low NVH, 41MPG Highway, good reliability, presumably cheap parts because it’s a Ford). As a $15K car with a warranty it’s hard to go wrong.

Look what popped up on CL here in (California of course), an ELECTRIC LeCar! Wow this thing was ahead of its time

Every time I type “ID Buzz” into my iPhone it auto corrects to “I’d buzz” which drives me nuts. For that reason alone I hope they use e-Samba for the production version.
