What do you think the retail is on one of those?

Another side benefit to having winter tires: If you have 18"+ wheels with low profile tires, you don’t have to worry about banging them up on all the potholes that show up during the winter driving season. Leave that to the beater winter wheels.

Can you still easily spot Volkswagen/Audi parts all over it?

Higher capex but lower opex.

$36K base price which doesn’t include tax credits or dealer discounts. Remember, average price of a new car these days is now, gasp, $39K.

It’s an easy way for a marketing executive to say they’ve got big ideas to help turn the business around. IMO it’s a crutch trying to make up for a total lack in creativity that currently exists at the company right now.

Some say that Porsche was actually a 1969 911L with the Sportomatic transmission the actress who played Sharon Tate can’t drive stick.

Ultimately this is the reason why. Tesla has basically laid out the blueprint for what a modern EV should look and feel like and grilles are not part of that equation.

I know, my point is it’s a bunk styling element. IMO the day will come where the more prominent the grille, the more dated the car will look.

Oh I know, but they don’t need it on the same level, just some lower vents like on the Model 3 or even the old New Beetle.

Yeah, front end looks legacy manufacturer. Grilles are passe design elements reserved for ICE vehicles. This is a design crutch and a great representation of where the brand currently sits: Choking on it’s own legacy as it gets passed by the younger generation.

Reality is BMW doesn’t want to make a truck because it goes against their brand imag, yet somehow they make the X7 and the 2 series Grand Tourer...

I must know more about Ametrin Metallic. Also, is Technoviolet ever going to make a comeback?

I own 4 cars, a 2016, 2014, 1967, and a 1963. I remember what it was like “back in the day” because half my fleet is from back in the day. I also used to own a MK6 GTI and also hate the move away buttons but alas, it’s what the younger people want and I say that because I have yet to talk to someone older than me

You’re getting old.

Is your dad’s truck also doing livery service like the Telsa did? This wasn’t just some regular person’s commuter car or even a car that pulled some light duty commercial work, this was a 100% 24/7 livery service. Like a taxi, this is a completely different use case with harder wear on certain components like interior

I’m in a rental car every other week for work and it’s been shocking how polluted the Emerald Aisle has become with Nissans. Doesn’t matter where I land, it’s as if “choose any car” has become “choose any Altima/Rogue.” Instead of blaming National, I’m stuck here thinking how bad things must be for Nissan to dump this

It’s only a matter of time...
