Oh how I hate the proliferation of status. If everyone is gold nobody is gold and it hurts when you travel all the time like I do. Some see loyalty programs as perks, I see them as a reduction of the of PITA factor for those who use experience it the most. Same applies to pre check, rental cars, hotels, etc.

Everytime I talk to someone who brags about their Bonvoy status I cringe slightly...firstly It’s a lame thing to brag about but secondly the higher their status the less they’re at home.
