Hooray for you, I did the exact same thing at my previous job. And if I do take lunch and I’m not being paid, I go where I want and do what I feel like as that’s MY time, not theirs.

My policy: “lunch” begins when I sit down to eat it. And if it’s an unpaid lunch break, I leave the building, as that time is now MY time, not my employer’s.
