That is why I hate going to NFL games. I would rather watch the games on television. It is a pre-season game to boot. If I had to go to a game, it would have to be in a luxury suite, so that I can enjoy the game without some douchebag throwing punches in my row.

Most of these “relationships” are rumors or stupid celebrity gossip. Unless there was confirmation for all of them, I doubt most are legit.

Give me a break. Morgan Brian is not one of the best players in the world. Neither is Alex Morgan. They are fortunate to play on the USWNT, which has the good fortunate to play nobodies from poor and impoverished countries in international tournaments.

It is based on the free market. Do you think the WNBA should be as popular as the NBA, based on fairness? It is based on the fact the NBA has a worldwide following, which draws in the $$$ and popularity, while the WBNA is subsidized by sympathy and good PR from the NBA.

Agreed. Women’s soccer exists on a international level because of FIFA fair plays rules. Even in Europe, where soccer is mad-popular, and where the German women’s team has two FIFA WWC, but their league averages about 1,000 fans per team per game. The popularity of women’s soccer is manufactured. It doesn’t exist.

I don’t think women get paid less than men in general. There may be instances of this, on a micro-level, but I think on the whole HR departments (who are mostly women) based income and benefits on work history, and education.

I agree with those who feel that this relationship was indeed a business relationship, as I suspect most celebrity couplings tend to be. At least when it comes to film co-stars who “fall” for each other before the release of their film, and stay together through any sequels. :)

At least the USWNT gets to play orange cones for their Olympic and WWC opposition. Must be nice.

I think the large tv contracts for most sports (outside of the NFL rights) will lose alot of their market value. I don’t know what is going to happen.
