San Diego guy here and friends with a Mercedes guy. I sent this to him just now and he says this car has been for sale forever.

They really need to address the abuse of the “acting” status of all these cabinet officials. It was one thing when it was a stop-gap until someone could be confirmed, but with this administration it is being used to sidestep Congressional oversight.

Neutral: Hurtling down the road at 75mph in a thin metal box controlled by a total stranger without a vetted level of prior experience, an uninspected vehicle, and unknown brake/tire quality is the bigger of my concerns.

You can still get factory leather for these so even if it is ripped, replacing it isn’t hard to do. It just gives a good negotiating point

Don’t just count the cost of the options. the interest rate was like 19-25%

Trunk version; this was the cheapskate special. It cost a fairly good whack, at least $100 in 1970s dollars, less than the hatchback. You’d find the same phenomenon at the Ford dealer down the street if you were looking at the Pinto. These were also the lightest and stiffest version although the difference only really

Sounds like somebody got an amazing deal -- 50% off!

If there is one thing I know about cars with $40k gross, no salesperson is able to even look at it, you know between the dp, sales manager, and general manager, that gross is going to be theirs.

Idiots? No.

Every. Single. Volvo drivers seat with leather looks like that.

The trick is to have the S-spec supercharger added at the same time. That requires a new clutch and flywheel anyway so you for about six-grand more than just the clutch you get both that new clutch and a ton more ponies. Win-win!

Figuratively: big-ass wing

Doesn’t that stance just expose that their rating system is flawed? If they’re calculating an “average risk of personal injury” score down to the hundredths place, and one of the scores is considerably lower than the neighboring scores, how is that any different than saying it was tested to be the safest?

Exactly. Did you know the book value of the SuperCharger network (as of a few years ago; it’s probably double now) was around $140 million. Think about that. GM decided the best thing to do with 10 Billion was buyback stock to prop up the value. They could have spent a mere fraction - less than 2%, to start putting up

They weren’t approved by GM. A separate company called Corporate Concepts did the work and sold them through Pontiac dealers.

I was the 15th NP voter. I wouldn’t buy it, because I have no desire to own a fake Ferrari, but the Mera holds a strange place in the pantheon of fauxrraris. There is some provenance to a Mera, much like having a McBurnie Daytona. It’s a fake Ferrari, but it’s a real Mera.

Better yet, since she loved the G35, but not the Q50, she can just get a Q40, which is simply the continuation of the G37 into the deNysshen era.

It’s a little above the price range but I’m sure you can get a great deal! You want excitement? How about the excitement of owning an Alfa! Will the car start? Will your dash be a Christmas tree? Will it go into limp mode while driving? Heart racing excitement can all be yours with this gorgeous Alfa Romeo QF!!
