I’ll bet you had to have your great-grandchild type that for you, ya’ rickety ol’ geezer!

It’s really telling how in one instance you’re not okay with fatalities, but on the other hand you’re totally fine with fatalities based on their backgrounds. Like you think it makes you look morally conscious but you just seem like the exact opposite.
I also remember pull tab soda cans
Are you going to go on about every ill-fated persons misfortune or just cherry pick whatever you are aware about? Cause unless you cover everyone, you’re a P.O.S. like the rest of us. Welcome to the club.
Yes as an old, Full Service meant FULL SERVICE, they would pump your gas check your tires, oil etc and wash your windows. I am also old enough to remember leaded and unleaded pumps. Though since I am in my 40's leaded gas cars hard been phased out, but they kept the pumps around a while. I remember them and was…
I’ve been thinking a lot about this incident and the take that resources were potentially wasted on five billionaires. I have thoughts, but no blog or anything so, I’m going to share them here.
On that last one - given what I see all the time filling up at Costco (where our Canadian friends come and fill up all kinds of interesting containers to bring home as much cheap fuel as they can), I’m constantly amazed at how few actual gas station disasters seem to be happening. Hey, there’s a reason why that…
short answer: absolutely
Are people’s math skills seriously so bad that it’s a surprise that a $60k vehicle financed over 60 months at an interest rate greater than zero is more than $1,000 / month?
do people seriously buy cars this expensive with that little down?? I can understand buying a civic with no down payment or very little down. But a luxury vehicle??
Like flying cars ?
I’m fine waiting. Thanks for pointing out the SE, though!
Until there is a significant leap in battery tech, I think you will be stuck waiting for a long time. Even the Mini Cooper SE is over 3000 lbs (though not by much), and its range is half what you want.
yeah, EVs are in a weird place. Too long a commute, and they can’t support it. Too short, there isn’t a cost benefit. My total driving most days is 20 miles . So even with high test and the like I could drive a Big Block Cobra and use less than $10/day in gas. Is it worth driving a Big Block Cobra daily over a Bolt…
So effing true!!
My daily driver is a 2+2 RWD coupe that’s under 3000 lbs. It’s comfortable, engaging to drive, and I’m able to do all the maintenance myself. Until there’s something comparable out there, I’m frankly not interested in a BEV. I don’t need 500 miles of range or a 3-second 0-60: 250 miles and 5 seconds, respectively,…
Its impossible to make an aircraft ramp completely safe from people making poor decisions. Its a dangerous area. If someone wants to they can do something dumb enough to injure or kill themselves not matter how many precautions you have.
My firm has a number of clients in the oilfield services industry. The stories they have are mind-boggling, mostly involving guys lighting cigarettes in the wrong place (e.g. standing on top of an open tank with frac water flowing back into it) and getting blown a quarter mile down the road. Common sense is NOT…
That’s a $10 million engine. Yes, they bother.
Yes, but it required three failures to occur. First, the APU did not work. Second, she ignored the safety briefings. Third, she ignored common sense by ignoring the visible spinning disc at the center of each engine.
