This didn’t sit well with NASCAR for a lot of reasons. It creates further deviation from the Cup cars’ real-world counterparts...

Mud & Snow (M & S) has nothing to do with capability on compact snow and ice (most snow driving). All it means is a high void ratio (knobby tires). Large voids allow mud and snow to clear the tread better.

This year, in a fit of procrastination, I didn't fit my snow tires until the first snowfall of the year. Driving my car both before and after lets me say with confidence that you have no idea what you're talking about to an almost dangerous degree.

Rectum? Damn near killed him!

David Old Car 101 with a Clutch

Just to keep things in perspective. 72 down to 68 is going to save you maybe 10 bucks a month. (region and weather adjusted obvs)

That is quite interesting. My dad told me you have to learn in the manual cause that is actually learning how to drive. He also knew that learning in a manual causes you to actually learn about governing speed and it keeps you more engaged. Americans these days are more concerned with convenience so they can play

Seattle area thieves and homeless have get out of jail free cards. New Mayor and prosecutor just took over. Previous mayor and prosecuter had little interest in stopping crime. Most of the current Seattle City Council continue to have little interest to stop crime. Two State Legislators are trying to decriminalize

Once they pulled at gun, it’s game over. Sorry, but I’ll consider that an attempt on my life, and all bets are off.

I’m sure a lawyer can suss out a way to blame the thieves on setting up the jack incorrectly.

Bad but entertaining alternate solution: kick the jacks out from under the car.

It’s time before some scientist declares the storm is the result CO2 driven climate change. Polar vortex season should be with us here soon if it isn’t already. The “scientists” will come out of the woodwork telling us how this is the result of global warming. Never mind that it is the same weather pattern as

mistake number one, confronting thieves

So how much longer would it take to clear EV traffic when these unfortunate scenarios (weather, evacuations, etc...) occur and there is a realistic prospect of hundreds of EVs trapped in highway traffic with little to no range remaining?

I would probably add jumper cables and a tow rope to that list.

I know I am speaking as a Canadian, but how does this even cause this level of devastation? It’s only a foot of snow. I’ve driven low slung RWD cars in worse with sketchy-at-best tires

Things to always keep in your car: snacks, blankets, toilet paper, water (when weather allows), medications (ibuprofen, Benadryl) coat, hat, gloves, rain gear, charging cables for phone, hand tools, first aid kit paper maps and other things based on space. be able to live using what is in your car for a day or two.

Yes, there has been an increase in subway crime compared to 2020. Though, that’s due to the low ridership caused by the coronavirus pandemic

Most full size trucks have been using aluminum driveshafts for DECADES. Next you’ll tell me you’re shocked to hear they are using aluminum the engine blocks of trucks !!!OMG!!!!

RVs depreciate like soft cheese in the hot sun. That’s why this thing is only $500,000. New it would be north of $1.8million. Why anybody would buy a new RV is beyond me.
