Back in the day when my mother gave birth to me, the custom was for new moms to lounge in a private hospital room for a few days, welcoming friends and family and showing off their newborn.

I am an extremely stoic person who prides herself on being tough, sassy and ruthless. I speak my mind at work, take all kinds of crap from people and I even divorced a lawyer after hours of insane verbal fights, and never teared up once. Of course all this penting-up of emotion exacts a price.
