Also, everyone carried a white rose for #MeToo, because as we all know, accessorizing is the most effective way to stop sexual harassment in the music industry.

Uh, I’m not suggesting giving up rights at all. I’m explaining a very complicated situation to those who might want more information about the issue being discussed. I’m not sure why you equate knowledge with a hidden agenda to take everything away and create a dystopian bubble—that’s a very skewed view. Get unbent :)
People in the trans community are not getting more vocal, we’ve been pointing out what a shitty casting decision it was since before the show started. Just because you’re listening more, doesn’t mean we’re getting louder.
Gwyniston! (Which sounds like a small Central Asian country)
I’m married to a chef. I just ordered Jimmy John’s delivered to my desk at work and ate it over the trashcan. The thing about chefs is that they’re busy AF. Although we are having friends over for dinner tonight. I’m cooking. #chefwifelife
So I guess MortalDictata’s been banned? Great job, everyone. Who’s gonna be the next monster for your pitchforks and torches? Shame on every last one of you.
I risk a hip fracture every time I comment.
It’s two weeks. I know that because, as Cookies helpfully pointed out, I am thirty-eight years old but a “young seventy” at heart.
Today is Rose McGowan day: This morning I watched her on The View and GMA. At noon her book Brave came in the mail (I’m already 30 pages in). And tonight I’ll be watching Citizen Rose.
The two things that jump out at me (after being blinded by the whiteness) is (1) the odd hand posers; and (2) they managed to get everyone in gray New Balance sneakers — that’s pretty impressive shoe coordination..
I typed out a long response to this, then erased it all. I might come back and rewrite it later, but for now: thank you for posting this. I’m tired of being a part of it, but the only one who can willingly stop it is her.
I’m going to post this here because it seems somewhat relevant to this idea of harassment and faux-sisterhood (and I’m sick of seeing friends made to feel helpless).
Thank you! They’re on their way now. :) I’ll be back to chat tomorrow. :::hugs:::
HA! The love is def there. I know that. We’re very similar. I appreciate the weirdos chasing me down. I reallllly do. Thank you. 💖
Duuude, making me cry ova here. 💖 You are so sweet. Thank you so so much, seriously. I’m very thankful for your kind words. Damn, I totally forgot about the paleo recipes, sorry! That’s a good idea about the political channel, because that’s what set me off this morning. I just lost it. I’m worn down by what’s going…
Thank you so very much, love. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. <3 I woke up this morning to the government shut down and that Splinter article, and I just lost my mind. 5 minutes of the news is enough to make me want to start bunker construction. <—- this exactly.
Nope, but thanks for checking, Short. It’s not something to be alarmed by. I’m just going through it right now. I don’t think I bring much to that chat room and not many care to engage with me. Plus, I’m not an intellectual. I’m too much of an off the cuff weirdo.
Could it be that this “necessity of vigilance” and its corresponding constant wakefulness—seen by many as a primary responsibility of the informed citizen—can also diminish our ability to adequately respond to what we’re seeing?
From you:
Thanks, dear! I’ll definitely keep it in mind. 🌸
