I'm just finishing Octania Butler's "Parable of the Talents".
It is the fifth book of hers that I have read in a row.
I started with the Xenogenesis / Lilith trilogy and then read "Parable of the Sower".
Her writing was amazingly concise. Not a adjective to spare. I can't believe it took me so long to start reading

I guess it is complimentary. I think it is the intention of the writers to make the viewer feel invested in the success of Sterling, Cooper, Draper. I never expected it to end happily, but it is painful to see it all fall apart.

It doesn't feel like this show is ending, it feels like it is dying.

Or, maybe he would still be with Parker Posey.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Spectrum brand Organic Shortening.

That is a good one. There used to be a band named The Taoist Cowboys.

Have you heard Andrew Jackson Jihad? But, that would be from the War of Northern Agression.

I don't think I would ever sit down and listen to their music, but I have watched all of their videos multple times. Some of them are visually stunning. I love how they mock the sillier aspects of rap.

I said Fare Thee Well to the Grateful Dead when Jerry died in 1995. Every show "The Dead" has performed since that day has been a tragic parade of greedy whores.

Ray is the conscience of the show. He is the only character that isn't completely self-centered.

She reminded him of his hypercritical mother.

The "Shake a Tail Feather" scene with Ray Charles in "The Blues Brothers".

I saw that Talking Heads tour. The film captured it wonderfully.

I'm only going to see this if Yolandi Visser is cast as a glorious Alien.

Considering how much more experience he has as a comedian, I'm always surprised by how Carrie is the funniest of the duo. Maybe it is the way the show is written.

When I saw him play "Bored In The U.S.A." on Letterman, Zevon was the first thing that came to mind. I can't wait to hear the rest of it.

Upvote for the Iceman reference.

I've always found Bonamassa's playing to be very sterile. Great technique, but lacking soul.

I'm not sure which is more disturbing, that the reviewer referred to Bobby Moynihan as underrated, or that he considers him an actor.

I'm not sure, but I did like the Corn Sisters project.
