I totally agree with you on that one. It just struck me as a very low barrier to think that any genetic relation would be sufficient. Glad we cleared that up.

Plenty of white Mexicans will also have that one ancestor who has Aztec lineage. If all it takes to not appropriate a culture you do not live in, is to have a person with a watered-down genetic connection to it, then this legal protection has no chance of ever being effective.

It’s a minor thing right now but I am forever sceptical when people think of Trudeau as one of the guardians of freedom. He takes a nice picture but he’ll fold under real pressure.

Some days I think of American democracy as a frog that’s slowly being boiled in water. It could jump out of the pot at any moment but why should it? The change in temperature is too slow to be noticed and eventually, the frog is dead.
