I’ll bet it was two dickheads.

So that if the rocket explodes they are safe.
Buy this 8 year old car with 111,000 miles and immediately begin replacing the breaks, suspension components, axles, clutch, ect. Even if the major components hold up, your service advisor will be happy to nickle and dime you over every leaky seal and failed electrical component.
Here’s the thing about cool used cars that I haven’t seen brought up before: regardless of how easy they can be to work on, or how cheap parts can be had, you boss does not care about how much you like your car, only that you are there.
I don’t know that much about motorcycles, but can you reasonably expect a motorcycle engine, not to mention two bolted together, to reliably run 75k-100k?
I could see this becoming a requirement down the road, as long as the technology progresses to make it economically viable and they figure out how to not wreck someone’s night-vision driving behind the truck. In the US we generally pay more for additional safety, so I kind of like the idea.
I agree with you.
Does anyone think we are getting close to “peak power?” It’s hard to imagine the next generation having more (750hp?). I wouldn’t mind seeing a swing back to ~450hp from a 3.0 turbo V8 and lighter/more usable.
I believe the car is sold as a package, so it can do both right “out of the box.”
I explained my logic in the first post. I will not engage in this discussion, as it has nothing to do with whether or not is was right to crush the land rovers.
Wow, you got personal fast. I am not sure why you are so emotionally invested in this.
I’m not sure how enforcing a law is a “make-work project” or who the “zero-accountability” class is. This isn’t really a political issue...
You are assuming that they were wrongfully impounded. All we know so far is that customs claimed one thing and the owners claimed another.
Homeland Security is an enormous organization, this was done by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, so yeah, customs is what they do and enforcing the laws is money well spent.
I’m going to take a very unpopular opinion here:
Did you ever notice that, according to you, everything the military does is stupid?
This slightly violates Rule 5, but hear me out.
