Not-so-casual reminder that filicide isn’t an uncommon occurrence, and it happens so frequently to disabled people that each year we hold a Disability Day of Mourning to remember those disabled people who were killed by family members and/or caretakers.

I only care that the word in the first sentence should be populace, the noun, not populous, the adjective.

The first time I saw the photo, it looked white and gold, then it changed to blue and black and I’ve never seen it as white again. I would fall into the lark category, so that doesn’t check out either.

No joke, the cropped version of the dress at the top of this article is the first time I’ve automatically seen it as the “correct” way, which is blue and black. I always see it white and gold normally.

Apparently human trafficking in these types of places is pretty rampant. Many of the victims underage.

This reminds me of those super sketchy signs you see on the interstate, especially in South Georgia. It’s these huge billboards with lady silhouettes that say things like “jade spa and massage: free showers for all truckers.” It’s super sketchy and I am surprised they are not investigated more frequently.
