This is a terrible idea. Did you watch the Ecuador game? Sitting back and defending deep in their end is not something the US does well at all.

Man, Charlie Davies was good. I miss him. Such a tragedy that he got into that really bad accident and was never nearly the same. I’d take Charlie Davies and Bobby Wood up top any day of the week.

I don’t think this (or any)U.S. team is built to withstand sustained blows on defense. I said this while watching the game last night when they went up 1-0 and even after the second goal. The USMNT plays their best when they play their game. Parking the bus, or even not attacking, is a death blow for this squad.
