Oh it absolutely does, I just don't want to come across as representing myself as being injured by them railing against my sense of self as LGBTQ, just as being injured by their railing because it, you know, is fundamentally offensive to people who believe in acceptance and equality and have psychology backgrounds and

Not gay, so don't worry about ire being directed at me, although I have slight bi leanings (I'm a woman). I just get disgusted by the absurdity. I'm in a mostly Democratic area of NY, although the county near us had a crazy Tea Partier (Nan Hayworth) as a congresswoman recently.

I'm a NYer. TRUST. I know about the crazy anti-gay politicians, and I have crazy anti-gay-ers in my immediate family :-(

"I'm coming out! I want the world to know! I gotta.."

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought was that the author must be insufferable with a name like that?

I think he did! Engineer, polyglot, classical music enthusiast, 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. It did make me sad to see him deteriorating over the last few years though. Old age is tough.

Thanks for your condolences, everyone. I saw him suffering the last few months, so I can't be too sad right now, but my mom is struggling.

On the plus side, Fred Phelps is dead, even though I don't like celebrating ANYONE's death. On the depressing side, my grandfather died early this morning. He was 92.

I don't do tequila shots because I don't hate all that is good and decent in this world.

But of course.

Also, alcohol + mucous membrane = major burning where no burning should exist.

Too late! I already played that card. See the second half of my post. :-)

I didn't get to the Judy at Carnegie Hall show, but I saw him at Radio City on Valentine's Day 2008. He wore the fedora and blazer to sing "Gay Messiah", and at the end had performers dressed as nuns come out and spray him with silly string to simulate getting cummed on. I'm going to see him on April 15th at Town Hall!

He's playing on April 15th at Town Hall in NYC and I'm going to see him!

Haha, cannot in this context just means "cannot deal". It's just a silly phrase that's evolved over the last few years.

OH! I kind of thought so, but it was hard for me to conclusively tell with such a small image.

PERFECT. Whole Foods is making our kids autistic!!!

Haha I live in NY and have a degree in psychology, and I was still regularly stunned by the ignorance of my undergrad classmates. Granted, I didn't go to the best school, but colleges are dumbing down. :-(

Say it with me, everybody: *Correlation DOES NOT equal causation.

This would be so badass if it was, say, Neil deGrasse Tyson, or another pro-science smart person. As it is, it's still pretty badass.
