Tod Browning’s Freaks, Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon, Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window and The Birds, Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now, and Paul Verhoeven’s Total Recall are all based on short stories.

You don’t have to write about someone in glowing terms to normalize them, just the fact that one of the most respected publications in US history devoted space to the Incel’s favorite philosopher make them complicit in normalizing him.

I don’t know about a Israeli flag, but there was a Hammer & Sickle. He had a whole convoluted system of symbolism going on. He even dragged poor Baphomet and Cthulhu into it.

A short wig with little to no volume. The opposite of the kind of wigs most people think when they hear “drag queen”. It’s like the kitten heel of wigs.

There won’t be a double elimination. They just won’t bring an eliminated queen back like they have in the past.

Please tell me he doesn’t receive royalties for that episode of The Nanny that he guest-starred on where Fran becomes a minor celebrity when she gets a gig giving childcare tips on (weirdly) The Rosie O’Donnell Show.

Yeah, he’s kind of known for that skinny, German Expressionist aesthetic (although comic Legion’s hair is much bigger) but the posing of the hands, inking, and even the signature are definitely Schiele references.

You’re welcome.

It looks like he’s still working, but mostly on mini-series/limited runs or covers. By coincidence, I found out last night that he did the original cover art for the US release of Resident Evil. The first Sienkiewicz comic I read was Stray Toasters, an underrated graphic novel that’s like Blade Runner

That’s nice.

Any news on how their adaptation of The Culture is coming along?

I discovered this last week and just wanted to share it because it’s really cool and I don’t remember seeing it covered here, a Season 2 promo drawn by Legion’s co-creator Bill Sienkiewicz in the style of the Egon Schiele self-portrait featured prominently a few episodes back.

Yep. It sold at auction a few years ago for about $140,000. If I remember right, Courtney gifted to a friend of the family after Cobain’s death.

It was very short lived but had a lasting impact. You can definitely hear the No Wave’s influence in a lot of early Alt-Rock/Grunge.

Yeah, it looks like the official website lists Maeve’s escape as the summer of 2052, I could have sworn I read some where that it was set in the 22nd Century though.

Roseanne didn’t have an extensive history of spouting far right propaganda in 2009 when the photo was taken. If anything, her views at the time were to the far left.

Also, Joan Rivers was Republican and spouted a lot right wing propaganda.

He had extensive plastic surgery, going back to when he was a teenager. Look up pictures of him in his ‘tween-early teen years, there’s no question who’s his real father.

I believe that Nancy Sinatra has even offered to do a DNA test but Ronan turned down the offer.

Her feud with Iggy Azalea? Also, I remember things being pretty down the middle when she accused Russell Crowe of assault. Oh, while I wouldn’t call it a feud, some people defended her sacrificing chickens in her closet as part of some witchcraft ritual as a cultural thing.

Trump’s Minions? Or those little cyclopean Twinkie things? Or both?

Seems like this would be much more of an appeal for those trying to keep loved ones alive forever than themselves, in that way.

I’m assuming you’re from the US , Roxy Music were huge in the UK. Almost all of their albums reached the top ten on the UK charts in the 70's and into the 80's. I believe the Greatest Hits album from 1977 is the sole exception, it only charted at #20.

I liked the big Danish cat, it was the right balance of cute and stupid looking, and I even chuckled a little when Bart asked if it wanted a beer.
