What? That’s not usually how this goes down.

If all three Manning Brothers were in Celebrity Jeopardy at the same time, who would win?

So what I did was childish but what this guy did was ok? He started it man. Just cuz he didn’t touch my car doesn’t mean he didn’t cross the line.

Well, it’s not inherently anti-male in anyway, but it is pretty shitty if he, in fact, didn’t do it.

That lowered bar is a double edged sword though, and is a major reason that she might lose this case.

And, as I’ve said in this entire thread, that’s just not true. Vaughns wife is not a one dimensional, sexualized character. Neither is Rachel McAdams character. There is a lot of nuance in both characters that extends way beyond their sexuality.

Thank god I’m not the only one who read that and thought of it.

Bad writing.

There is nothing flattering about taking that as a generalized statement - it’s unquestionably sexist.

Her critique seems to be that the characters are one dimensional and shallow....after 1 episode. Lol!

I see what you’re saying, and you’re right, but I took this to be something being said about a particular woman rather than a generalization of women as a whole. Vaughn was reflecting on his relationship and how he and his wife (?) compliment each other, and he was hoping to see CF’s character find that.

Maybe. I don’t know though - I’m a season ticket holder with club seats (thanks, Dad!), and we had security in the club seats (which are mostly old people) twice last season - one was an underage girl who was lost and incoherent and another was a man throwing up.

To be fair, they deal with this for half the year, on Sundays. It’s not like they haven’t had plenty of practice.

Right, but this is a show about something else entirely - it’s not a show about CF’s character.

I probably scrutinized this show more than most, so your insistence that I “didn’t watch closely” is fucking insulting.

What? No. You didn’t watch very closely.

Completely agree though about the treatment of Colin Farrell’s ex-wife’s rape. Seriously show? I don’t think it’s completely invalid to portray how someone might be affected by the trauma their partner experiences, but in order to do that you need to give equal if not more wait to the story of the person who actually

What are you talking about?
