The “hip fired a 50 cal” brag is so bizarre and probably speaks to a different mind virus this dude is suffering from.

It’s bizarre that the industry seems to be pushing AI in contexts where a human touch is probably necessary (like “writing” and “therapy”) rather than contexts where you can automate something monotonous like “which things in the cornfield are weeds” or “sorting produce” (like “the ugly tomatoes” end up in cans,

I’m curious what this “more money than we earn” they were spending went to. Part of me suspects it went after chasing “trends” like NFTs/Crypto, “The Metaverse”, and “AI created content” that were never going to make money at scale for someone like Epic.

“Texas Chili” as a specific tradition, doesn’t have beans in it.  In general, chili is better with beans in it.  You can even get the kind of chili with beans in it in Texas- the legendary “Texas Chili Parlor” in Austin sells at least three kinds of chili with beans in them (including a five bean vegetarian.)

I feel like Pentiment is a good example of a game that might not have been able to be made without Game Pass making it financially viable, and something that we’d be worse off if it never existed. It’s probably not going to happen with Pentiment specifically, but if a studio comes up with a mid-budget hit via Gamepass

I disagree with the idea that reselling digital music is a use case for a blockchain. It feels like this entire system could be more efficient if “who owns what music” is stored in a database by the artist, merchant, label, or whoever instead of storing this information in the blockchain.

Only 95% of NFTs are worthless, so there’s still work to be done.

The funny thing about JW4 is that he travels to four continents without issue, but “getting across Paris” is a nightmare.  I think it’s just that Assassins are really densely packed in some places.

I wonder if JW5 needs to be as taxing on Keanu. If they do take the 10% opening where he’s still alive, and people in the assassin world are either under the impression that he’s dead or covering for him, then John Wick is well and truly out of the game. He has no obligations left to that world, and nobody has a

I’m just not sure why you would really spend a lot of money updating a Gen 8 game for Gen 9. A lot of the stuff from the previous gen still looks fine, and you can run it on the current generation of hardware. It doesn’t look eye-bleedingly gorgeous, but that’s not why you’d buy a 5 year old game anyway.

Hopefully you can disable the “controller turns on when you pick it up” thing.  I have my xbox connected to the monitor on my desk so the controller ends up getting moved around a lot when I’m not intending to use the Xbox.

If they’re going to remaster a 7th gen Fallout, remaster New Vegas you cowards. I will buy this game a 5th time. Yes, Obsidian made the game, but y’all have the same boss.

I just feel like “pay someone to get my groceries for me” is a bizarre imposition and I’m not comfortable with it.

They released Skyrim on at least 8 platforms, so never say never.  But I guess if you want to play TESVI in the first like 6 years of its existence, you will need a PC or an Xbox.

Considering that this is a game where you’re likely neither going to pee nor bang, the only extension of sex/gender that is relevant to your character is “how people refer to you in the third person” a thing games do a lot because you can choose your name to be whatever you want. Codsworth in FO4 knows 922 names, but

Yeah, I don’t think the consumer has a reasonable expectation that what they receive will closely resemble the marketing image.  I think there should be a broad understanding the marketing is a little bit misleading as it presents the item in the most favorable light available.

I just wish I could get the pumpkin pie pop-tarts unfrosted.

The problem with the Hawaiian pizza as it is normally sold is not that pineapple is bad on pizza, it’s that ham and pineapple need something spicy to balance the sweetness and the salt.  It’s a stool that needs three legs.  Literally anything spicy will work here, hot sauce, crushed red peppers, put hot peppers on the

I mean, Troll 2 is not a sequel to Troll it’s just a terrible movie given that title for marketing purposes. AvP: Requiem is probably better than the first AvP, and Baby Geniuses 2 is just a sequel to a terrible movie that experiences normal diminishing returns.

Like back when they were doing national weeks for countries that can be accessed easily from the UK it was generally okay. Like German week was not a complete embarrassment because people involved in the show had been to Germany and had some insight on the cuisine of that place as well as an understanding of what
