Machine God Shepard is the best ending.  Damnit, I promised Liara “lots of little blue children” and we’re going to find a way.  Sure, this is an unreasonable amount of power to invest in one person, but this person is the player character and I can thus trust them.

Yeah, the trick is to include lots of little details that could serve as evidence for a specific outcome, but don’t completely rule out the other potential outcomes. Since people are going to read it as “the thing that happened in my game is the thing that happened” that way.

I’m reasonably certain they won’t canonize any ending of ME3 (except for the defiance ending, which is stupid and out of character for Shepard).
